Long-term effects of extreme stress on the brain and mind

Research project

We investigate the long-term effects of extreme stress on the human brain and mind. We study the impact of stress on the next generation.

The research is conducted in the Neuroscience Centre at the Central European Institute of Technology of Masaryk University (CEITEC MU) under the direction of Professor Ivan Rector.

We are currently completing research examining the effects of stress in Holocaust survivors and preparing a study on the impact of stress on survivors of the Balkan wars in the 1990s. To learn more about the studies, visit Výzkum.
